Handee Books, an independent internet bookseller, has been providing customers with the best quality products and personal service since 1997. Currently, we’re celebrating fifteen years in business!

We started in 1997 as a combined brick & mortar and internet store.

In February, 2004, we changed our model to internet only. This allows us to focus on finding exciting books and collecting hard to get signatures while helping keep our overhead

expenses down. No, we don’t work out of our home! We operate out of a 1500 square foot space in an office complex (climate controlled, pet and smoke free). It’s very comfortable but not set up for customers. The books are lovingly stored on bookshelves, just like any other bookstore, with the only differences being that we can jam in more bookcases (because we don’t have to allow a four foot clearance between them like we would in an open shop) and that we shelve based on an inventory control system rather than alphabetically.

Scott Hamman (or, as Tammie sometimes calls him, Bibliophile) has always dreamed of owning a bookstore. An avid reader and book collector for over 30 years, Scott is an expert in Modern Fiction as well as Science Fiction and Mystery. Scott has more than 25 years experience in entertainment retailing, nearly a third of which as a store manager for one of those large, corporate, chain bookstores. He’s always in the middle of reading about a dozen books, magazines, and comics.

Tammie Stallings, when she met Scott over 30 years ago, never imagined she’d be co-owner of a bookstore! An avid reader as far back as she can remember, Tammie is an expert in Children’s Books as well as books of any genre that feature strong female characters. Tammie has more than 25 years experience in the corporate business world and excels in process flow and improvement. She is our webmaster and the voice of our Marketing Department.

Scott and Tammie have been married for over 20 years now.
